As a Certified Ayurveda-Yoga Specialist you will be able to:

  • Teach holistic classes that include Pranayama, Mudra, Mantra, Meditation and Yoga asana

  • Lead Yoga group classes based on the season, the person's Ayurvedic constitution and the stages of their life

  • Create individualized and general Yoga classes, one-on-one sessions and group workshops

  • Incorporate and understand how the season and time of day, are important considerations to class design and daily protocols

  • Offer basic Ayurvedic lifestyle recommendations to bring balance and harmony to the body, mind and emotions

THE HOLISTIC APPROACH

  • Discover how to apply the principles of Ayurveda to the ancient eight-limbed science of Yoga.

  • Merge the philosophies that support Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation to incorporate and teach holistic practices in daily life.

  • Study the precepts of Ayurveda and learn how dosha specific asana, pranayama, concentration, meditation, mudra, kriyas, and mantra, can bring deep healing to the mind, emotions and body. 

  • Learn to identify the Dosha Prakruti or the Bio Energetic constitution, along with specific care, lifestyle and appropriate practices that will support the mind-body-spirit balance.

  • Learn how to teach and create yoga classes for groups and individuals, based on their Ayurvedic constitution, age, the seasons, and state of metabolism or agni. 

  • Study how food affects consciousness and how to prepare simple recipes for digestion and cleansing

  • Explore and practice the teaching fundamentals of Asana, Ayurvedic Asana, Personal Development and Communication
     

Most importantly this course will establish growth and transformation for all students and teachers who are interested to know more about themselves, the depth of Yoga and Ayurveda, and the authentic principles that can help to maintain a healthy approach to life.

Prerequisites for 300 hour certification

This course is open to those who have the following: 

1) The applicant must hold a 200-Hour YTT Certificate or relevant training experience

2) The applicant must have a sound teaching practice with consistent facilitation of public or private classes  

Graduates of the JAI Wellness 200 Hour Ayurveda & Yoga Holistic Teacher Training are automatically apporoved to register for this course.
